וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ תִּפְשׂ֣וּם חַיִּ֔ים וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂ֖וּם חַיִּ֑ים וַֽיִּשְׁחָט֞וּם אֶל־בּ֣וֹר בֵּֽית־עֵ֗קֶד אַרְבָּעִ֤ים וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙ אִ֔ישׁ וְלֹֽא־הִשְׁאִ֥יר אִ֖ישׁ מֵהֶֽם׃ (ס)
Lalu ia berkata, “Tangkaplah mereka hidup-hidup.” Maka mereka menangkap orang-orang itu hidup-hidup, lalu menyembelih mereka di lubang Bet-Eked, empat puluh dua orang banyaknya; tidak seorang pun dari mereka yang dibiarkannya hidup.
